Privacy Policy.

Notice under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) for visitors of rialrent.it and anyone contacting RIAL S.R.L. for car, yacht and water toy rentals.

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

  • Quote requests and contacts: the site's form does not send data to our servers; it composes a message that opens in WhatsApp (name, contact, vehicle or yacht, places, dates and the notes you write). The same applies to phone and email contacts.
  • Rental data (driving licence, ID document, payment data for deposit and charges), collected when the contract is signed, not through the site.
  • Technical browsing data (IP address, browser, requested pages) processed by the hosting provider to deliver and protect the site.
  • Data collected by statistics and marketing cookies, only if you accept them (see Cookie Policy).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering requests and preparing quotes and contracts: pre-contractual steps and performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Tax, accounting and legal obligations, including notifying the driver's details to the authorities for traffic fines (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Site security, abuse prevention and legal defence (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Visit statistics, campaign measurement/remarketing with Google and Meta and marketing communications: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Providing data and automated decisions

Providing data is optional, but without contact details we cannot answer and without the driver's data we cannot sign a contract. Consent to optional cookies is not required to use the site.

We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing with legal effects. With marketing consent, Google and Meta may use browsing data to show you personalised ads.

5. Recipients

  • Refreesh S.r.l. Società Benefit (Giallo Studio), Via Lazzaro Spallanzani 10, 20129 Milano: site development and maintenance, as processor (Art. 28).
  • Netlify, Inc. (United States): hosting of the site and its services.
  • WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta group): the channel receiving requests sent from the site; it processes messages under its own terms.
  • Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel): only with your consent.
  • Google (Google Maps): only if you choose to load the map on the Contact page.
  • Insurers, tax and legal advisers, payment institutions and authorities, when required for the rental or by law.
  • The temperatures in the top bar are requested from Open-Meteo by our server: the provider does not receive your data.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (Netlify, Google, Meta) may process data in the United States, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. Retention

  • Contract and tax data: 10 years after the end of the contract.
  • Quote requests not followed by a rental: 24 months.
  • Google Analytics 4 data: 14 months (GA4 property setting).
  • Cookies and consent: durations in the Cookie Policy; consent lasts 12 months.
  • Marketing communications, if you consented: until you withdraw consent.

8. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing (Articles 15-22 GDPR) and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Write to info@rialrent.it.

You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or your local authority.

9. Changes

We update this notice when processing changes; the date above shows the latest version.
