Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to charter a private jet?
It depends on the aircraft and the length of the flight. In Europe a light jet costs roughly €3,200–4,500 an hour, a turboprop €1,900–2,700, a midsize jet €4,800–6,500. A Milan–Nice flight in a light jet, for example, starts at roughly €4,500 one way.
How far in advance should I book?
The more notice you give, the more aircraft remain available, especially in summer towards Sardinia, the Balearics and the Greek islands, and in winter towards the Alps. Many flights are also arranged with just a few days' or hours' notice, subject to availability.
Does Rial Rent own the aircraft?
No. Rial Rent organises the flight as an intermediary: every flight is operated by an airline holding an Air Operator Certificate, which we name before confirmation.
How much luggage can I bring?
It depends on the aircraft: a turboprop or light jet has a smaller hold than a midsize. Tell us how much luggage and what kind, and we'll only suggest aircraft it fits in.
Can I fly with my pet?
Often yes, in the cabin with you, subject to the rules of the airline operating the flight and the destination country. Let us know when you enquire and we'll check the documents and conditions.
What is an empty leg?
It's a flight an aircraft has to make empty anyway, to return to base or reach its next client. It can be booked at a reduced price, with dates and times already fixed.
