Ferrari Portofino Bordeaux in Sanremo.
Ferrari Portofino in Rosso Corsa with bordeaux and black interior: retractable hard top, two rear seats and a 292-litre boot. Ferrari described it as the most powerful convertible able to combine a hard top, a generous boot and two seats behind, and this example is the original Portofino, not the later M. The 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 600 hp and 760 Nm, with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel drive: 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and over 320 km/h. The roof opens in 14 seconds and turns a touring coupé into a seafront spider. The bordeaux of the leather, set against the black, gives the cabin a warm, lounge-like tone. The road is that of the Tigullio: from Rapallo to Santa Margherita Ligure, then along the coast to the village that gave it its name, with the luggage in the boot.

The drive we recommend
From Sanremo towards Montecarlo: 58 km along the Aurelia e Basse Corniche, through Bordighera and Mentone. This is where the Ferrari Portofino Bordeaux is at its best — long bends, good surface and room enough to feel what it can do without having to rush.
