Monaco to Monte Carlo: Best Supercar Driving Routes

The best supercar driving routes around Monaco and Monte-Carlo: the three Corniches, the Grand Prix circuit and the road to La Turbie. Where to drive a Ferrari or Lamborghini on the Riviera.

The three Corniches from Monaco

The best driving around Monaco starts with the three legendary Corniches linking the Principality to Nice. The Basse Corniche hugs the sea through Cap-d'Ail and Beaulieu; the Moyenne Corniche climbs to the medieval village of Èze; the Grande Corniche rises to La Turbie and the Trophée des Alpes, offering the widest curves and the emptiest tarmac.

For a Ferrari Roma Spyder or a Lamborghini Huracán, the Grande Corniche is the highlight: open bends, dramatic drops and far fewer buses than the lower roads. Start early from Monte-Carlo and head west, then loop back along the Moyenne Corniche for a different perspective on the same stretch of coast.

Driving the Grand Prix circuit

No trip to Monaco is complete without tracing the Formula 1 street circuit. You can legally drive the public roads that make up much of the layout: the climb up Beau Rivage, the famous Casino square, the descent towards the Mirabeau hairpin and the tunnel along the waterfront. It is slow, traffic-filled driving, but the sense of history is unmatched.

A Ferrari or Lamborghini turns heads on Avenue de la Costa and around the Place du Casino, in front of the Hôtel de Paris. Rial Rent delivers the car directly to your Monte-Carlo hotel, so you can start the circuit lap without any transfer hassle.

Beyond Monaco: La Turbie and Mentone

For more open driving, head up to La Turbie and continue along the ridge roads of the Parc de la Grande Corniche, where the V8 or V10 can finally breathe. Heading east, the coast road towards Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Menton offers relaxed seaside curves and a fine spot for lunch with a view back over the Principality.

The best season runs from late spring to early autumn. During the Grand Prix and the Monaco Yacht Show demand peaks, so booking a Ferrari or Lamborghini well in advance is essential. Rial Rent handles airport delivery at Nice Côte d'Azur and door-to-door drop-off in Monaco.
